Her drumming is often criticized for being "simplistic" or "bad". I have a different view though. I believe she played the way she did with The White Stripes for a reason. To achieve that lo-fi garage rock sound...to fill out a rock duo with MASSIVE sounding drums...to leave room for the song to be seen.
In this lesson I break out 5 of Meg White's drum beats and show you why I think she was sly as a cat in the way she created her parts. There is a beauty in simplicity that so many players miss.
