Snare drum ring...it can be a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes a little snare drum ringing in the drum mix is nice. But if your snare drum is ringing too much, you need to dampen it for sure. Nothing will ruin a snare drum sound more than a weird tone coming off of it in the form of a ring!!

Disclaimer: I'm actually a big fan of snare drum ring when it's appropriate. But it's not always wanted or needed. So, here are 20 ways that you can dampen your snare drum to help control the ringing!!
